If you only read this
- Google Local Services Ads connect to Housecall Pro's Job Inbox at no extra charge from Housecall Pro. Bookings from Local Services Ads and Reserve with Google land together in one “Google” channel.
- Housecall Pro's Zapier article lists Zapier on the Essentials, Essentials+ and MAX plans, with two triggers (Job Scheduled and Job Finished) and one action (Create New Customer).
- The Mailchimp sync is documented one way, from Housecall Pro to Mailchimp. Name, email, tags and lead source go over, and the guide doesn't address unsubscribes.
- The public API, API Leads and webhooks are MAX-only. API Leads brings leads from other tools into Job Inbox, and webhooks send job and customer events out to your own systems.
- Online Booking jobs are tagged by tracking attributes on your booking links, and Housecall Pro adds the built-in “My Website (Online Booking)” lead source in some scenarios. Google Analytics is a separate question with its own answer page.
Five integrations affect how your leads are tracked
For a carpet cleaner, five Housecall Pro integrations matter for marketing: the Google Local Services Ads connection to Job Inbox, Zapier, the Mailchimp sync, the API with API Leads and webhooks, and Online Booking on your own website. Each one affects where lead or job data goes and how its source gets tracked. The API, API Leads and webhooks are MAX-plan features, according to Housecall Pro's help center.
Housecall Pro connects to other tools too, but this page sticks to the five that affect where leads come from and how they're tracked. Every plan and feature statement below comes from Housecall Pro's help center as we read it on October 9, 2026, so check your own account before you build on it. For how we run marketing around Housecall Pro, see our Housecall Pro marketing page.
How do Google Local Services Ads leads get into Housecall Pro?
Housecall Pro's Job Inbox connects to Google Local Services Ads. HCP's help center says "you're able to connect your Google LSA account to Job Inbox at no extra charge," but you need your own Local Services Ads account first. Google still bills you for leads. HCP's article lists paying "fees for phone calls, messaging, and booking leads that come through Local Services Ads" as part of the setup.
HCP lists several requirements for the connection, including the new online booking version in your Housecall Pro account, a verified Google Business Profile, Google Guaranteed status and online booking turned on in your Local Services Ads account. Carpet cleaning is on HCP's list of industries the integration supports, as of October 9, 2026. When a customer books through the ad, HCP says they go to Housecall Pro's Online Booking flow instead of Google's own, and new Local Services Ads leads are created as Leads in your Job Inbox.
For tracking, the channel is the detail to watch. Bookings from Local Services Ads and from Reserve with Google, which HCP describes as a free Google service for booking through Search and Maps, both land in one "Google" channel. HCP says "they are not differentiated" there, and it points you to your Local Services Ads account for the separate stats.
What can Zapier do with Housecall Pro, and on which plans?
Housecall Pro's Zapier article lists the integration on its Essentials, Essentials+ and MAX plans, which it notes were formerly called Grow, Manage and XL. The same article says Zapier's starter plan is free. Routes that use Housecall Pro webhooks through Zapier need both a MAX plan and a Premium Zapier account with access to webhooks.
The built-in options are small. There are two triggers, Job Scheduled and Job Finished, and one action, Create New Customer. In marketing terms, a trigger can send a scheduled or finished job to another tool, and the action can create a customer in Housecall Pro from a form or lead tool. We cover sending jobs back to Google Ads as conversions in our Google Analytics answer.
HCP's Zapier article doesn't say whether a customer created by a Zap gets a lead source. Check the Lead Source field on those customers so their source isn't left blank in your reports.
Which way does the Mailchimp sync run?
Housecall Pro's Mailchimp guide describes one direction, from Housecall Pro to Mailchimp. It says customer name, email, tags and lead source sync over. The sync is manual. You pick the customers, click Sync, and HCP emails you when it's finished.
The guide doesn't describe any changes flowing back from Mailchimp, and it doesn't address unsubscribes. If a customer unsubscribes in Mailchimp, opt them out in Housecall Pro too. The guide also notes that, as of early 2026, Mailchimp's free plan holds 250 contacts, and once you reach that limit no more customers sync.
Because lead source goes over with each contact, your email list keeps the same source labels your office uses. When an email links to booking, give that booking link its own tracking attribute, so a job booked from the email is tagged inside Housecall Pro.
When do the API, API Leads and webhooks matter?
All three need the MAX plan, and all three usually need a developer. Housecall Pro's API Overview says "API is available only to Pros on a MAX plan," and only Admin users can generate API keys, with full or read-only access. HCP also says it "cannot build or maintain custom integrations created via API keys," so plan on hiring someone you trust.
API Leads is the piece that matters most for lead routing. HCP says it "lets you send customer requests (or 'leads') from your third-party lead tools directly into your Job inbox," and that it is "only available on the Max plan." Every lead sent this way shows up in one API Leads channel. If you send leads from more than one tool, ask your developer how each tool's leads will be labeled, because they will share that channel.
Webhooks go the other way. HCP's webhooks article says they "send real time notifications for actions happening in Housecall Pro to your own web app," and that "Webhooks is only available on the MAX plan." You choose which events to send, across customers, estimates, invoices, jobs, leads and pros, such as a job being completed. HCP pitches them as a way to keep your systems in sync and avoid double entry. For marketing, a job-completed event is one way to get finished work into your ad platforms or reporting.
How does Online Booking work on your own site?
Online Booking puts Housecall Pro's booking flow on your website. HCP's overview offers embed code that adds a "Book online" button, which opens the booking flow in a window on top of your page. It also offers a booking link hosted on Housecall Pro's own address for places like social profiles and email footers. After a successful booking, it can redirect the customer to an https page on the domain listed in your Housecall Pro profile. The overview doesn't say which plans include Online Booking.
Inside Housecall Pro, two things record the source. Booking links can carry tracking attributes, and HCP says the resulting job or estimate "will be tagged with the applicable tag." The Lead Source field also has a built-in "My Website (Online Booking)" source, which HCP adds automatically "in some scenarios." If a customer asks for a time with no open slot, the request becomes a Lead in Job Inbox under the Online Booking partner.
What happens in Google Analytics is a separate question. We answer it, along with the redirect and what to count as a conversion, in Can you track Housecall Pro bookings in Google Analytics?.
Which ones matter most for marketing?
| Integration | Plan, as HCP documents it | Where the lead or data goes | What it means for tracking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Local Services Ads (Job Inbox) | No plan tier stated. Needs your own LSA account, Google Guaranteed status and the new online booking version. | The “Google” channel in Job Inbox, shared with Reserve with Google | Check your LSA account to split paid LSA bookings from Reserve with Google. |
| Zapier | Essentials, Essentials+ and MAX. Webhook routes need MAX. | Job Scheduled and Job Finished go out; Create New Customer comes in | Check the Lead Source on customers a Zap creates. |
| Mailchimp | No plan tier stated. HCP notes Mailchimp's free plan holds 250 contacts. | One way, Housecall Pro to Mailchimp, with name, email, tags and lead source | Lead source labels travel with each contact. |
| API and API Leads | MAX only | The API Leads channel in Job Inbox | Leads from every connected tool share one channel. |
| Webhooks | MAX only | Events you choose, such as a completed job, sent to your own app | Finished jobs can reach your ad or reporting tools. |
| Online Booking on your site | Not stated in HCP's overview | Booked jobs in your schedule; requests with no open slot become Leads in Job Inbox | Tracking attributes on booking links tag the job, and Housecall Pro adds the “My Website (Online Booking)” source in some scenarios. |
In our view, start with the Local Services Ads connection and tagged Online Booking links, because they cover paid Local Services Ads leads and bookings from your own website. Zapier, API Leads and webhooks come next, once you know which leads and jobs you need to move between tools.
